  1. 1 chopped beetroot
  2. 4 tomatoes
  3. 1 chopped onion
  4. 4-6 garlic cloves
  5. 1 bay leaf
  6. as per taste Sugar
  7. to taste Salt
  8. 1/4 tsp black pepper powder/ crushed
  9. 1 tbsp butter
  10. 3 cup water

Steps to make Beetroot soups

  1. Firstly, in a pressure cooker take 1 tsp butter and saute 1 bay leaf until it turns aromatic. Add in garlic and onion saute until it shrinks slightly.
  2. Add beetroot, tomato, salt and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Now add 3 cup water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.drain off the water cool completely.
  4. Discard the bay leaf.
  5. Take the pressure cooked vegetables into a blender and blend to smooth paste. Sieve the beetroot paste and remove seeds.
  6. Transfer the beetroot paste into a large kadai. Pour in water left out while cooking vegetables.Mix well adjusting consistency as required.
  7. Once the soup comes to a boil add 1 tsp pepper and mix well.
  8. Finally, enjoy beetroot soup garnished with coriander or cream.
