  19. 2 tbsp coriander leaves chopped

  21. 1 tomato chopped

Instructions to make Bonda soup

  1. Firstly soak urad dal in water overnight. Drain off the water and transfer it to a mixing blend to make a smooth paste. Add water for mixing and blend it for 2 minutes.
  2. Add cumin seeds, green chillies, coriander leaves, ginger, salt to the batter. Combine and mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a pan for frying and start dropping one by one. Fry the vada till they turn golden brown and crispy from both sides.
  4. For the soup: soak your dal for 1/2 an hour.
  5. In a pressure cooker take your dal, turmeric powder, salt, tomato and water and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  6. Mix the dal to smooth consistency and then add the sambhar masala.
  7. Heat oil in tadka pan add onion and cook till it's translucent. Now add began and cook on medium-low flame for few minutes.
  8. Add the tadka in cooked dal and mix. Add little water if required and boil dal for 2 minutes.
  9. Garnish dal with Coriander leaves and mix well.
