  1. 100 gms Jute leaves (2-3 handful)
  2. 1.5 cup water
  3. as per taste Salt
  4. 1 tbsp Mustard oil
  5. 3-4 Crushed & chopped Garlic
  6. 1 Whole Dry Red Chilli
  7. 1/2 Tsp Cumin seeds

Instructions to make Jute Leaf Soup

  1. Boil water with salt. Add the wash and roughly chopped Jute leaves and cook it in open kadai, so that it doesn't loose it's green colour, for about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Heat mustard oil in a pan, add the tear and add whole dry red chilli, Crushed and chopped garlic and Cummin seeds. Once the garlic starts browning add it to the boiling soup/ jhol and mix cook for a minute. Serve hot with rice.
  3. Here with Masoor Dal
