This soup is so good and filling. I Roasted 2 Chickens at the weekend I had my family here for dinner but I took off the legs and thighs and wrapped them and put them in the freezer to make a soup later. I thought I would also put some Campanelle, is a type of pasta that is shaped like a cone with a ruffled edge, or a bell-like flower. It is also sometimes referred to as gigli. It is intended to be served with a thick sauce or in a casserole. In Italian, campanelle can also refer to "handbells.". It gave it more of a filling soup. But only a handful.

  1. 4 Chicken legs
  2. 3 pints Water
  3. 1/2 cup Lentils soaked the night before
  4. 1 small green sweet pepper cut into chunks
  5. 1 Yellow Sweet pepper cut into chunks

  7. 1/2 tsp Cracked black peppercorns
  8. 2 dried Chicken stock cubes crumbled in

  1. Add the chicken legs and thighs to a large pan
  2. Add 3 pints of boiling water on top. Cut the sweet peppers and add them also the dried stock cubes, rinsed lentils and mix.bring to boil then turn down to simmer. Stir occasionally
  3. Stir and leave to simmer for an hour.
  4. Add the Gigli and you will need an extra pint or two of boiling water as the lentils soak it up and the pasta. Pour in stir and while stirring fish out the bones from the leg and make sure you get the Shap bone that is thin and attached to the leg. They maybe still on the large bone. Add the woresester sauce then leave to simmer for a further half hour.
  5. Add the Black pepper and stir in. Add to serving bowls and Enjoy.
